This policy explains what information Chieveme processes, why we use it, and how it helps us provide features like collections, lists, discovery, social interactions, and catalog contributions.
1. Data we process
Information we process to operate Chieveme and make your collection, lists, and profile work properly.
Chieveme may process account data such as email address, nickname, profile details, preferred language, avatar, information required to sign in and secure your account, and account status.
We also process product data you create or interact with, including chieves, plans, lists, subscriptions, likes, follows, suggestions, moderation decisions, viewer progress, and related timestamps.
To secure and operate the service, we may also process limited technical request data such as request identifiers, routes, timestamps, response status, performance measurements, and selected query parameters. We use this for rate limiting, abuse prevention, debugging, and reliability. Sensitive query values are redacted when they enter application logs.
2. Why we use data
We use data to provide authentication, profiles, search, discovery, lists, social features, moderation tools, imports, security, debugging, reliability, and service improvement.
Showing catalog records, applying user edits, and building list covers.
Tracking public list popularity and calculating viewer progress from a user's own collection.
3. Service providers
Trusted services that help us run Chieveme.
Chieveme may rely on trusted providers for authentication, infrastructure, traffic protection, file storage, analytics, error monitoring, and account messages. These providers process data according to their own terms, privacy policies, security commitments, and data processing terms.
Depending on how you use the service, traffic-protection, hosting, authentication, analytics, and content providers may process network or device information needed to deliver their service. Their own privacy policies explain their independent processing and retention practices.
4. Catalog sources
Metadata and title information from external sources.
Chieveme may request or store catalog metadata from external services. This can include titles, descriptions, identifiers, release dates, authors, genres, images, and source links.
We may combine imported information with user-generated corrections, translations, and list curation, so the version shown in the app can differ from the original upstream source.
When you open external links or interact directly with third-party services, their privacy practices apply.
5. Cookies and local storage
Chieveme may use cookies, browser storage, or similar technologies for language preferences, session behavior, UI state, authentication flows, security, and routing. We do not sell your personal data.
When analytics is enabled, Google Analytics may receive page-view and basic usage information. Before a page view is sent, user profile paths are normalized so a nickname is not included in the analytics path.
6. Public content
Some information is intentionally public. Public profiles, public lists, likes, subscriptions, and suggested or approved catalog content may be visible to other users or visitors.
Private lists are intended to remain visible only to their owner.
Public list details may show viewer-specific progress based on the viewer's own collection. That progress is derived from existing product data and is not a separate public metric.
7. Retention and deletion
We keep data while it is reasonably needed to operate Chieveme, preserve catalog quality, comply with legal obligations, prevent abuse, or maintain backups and logs. Some catalog, moderation, backup, or security records may be retained to protect the integrity and reliability of the service.
8. Data security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information stored on Chieveme. However, no online service can guarantee absolute security, and you use the service at your own risk.
9. Your choices
You can update account or profile information in the app where supported.
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access your personal data, correct inaccurate information, request deletion of your data, object to certain processing activities, or request a copy of your data.
