Rand al’Thor, finally wielding the ancient sword Callandor — which grants its bearer unparalleled power — is declared the Dragon Reborn. One of the prophecies has been fulfilled: the one destined to save the nations from the Dark, the source and creator of chaos, has appeared. But the rise of the Dragon-Savior does not only weave new threads into the Pattern of the world; it also draws bubbles of evil toward Rand, making him a target for dark forces.
