Harry Potter and the Methods of Rationality (HPMOR)
Harry Potter and the Methods of Rationality (HPMOR) is a fanfiction novel by rationalist Eliezer Yudkowsky, based on J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter series. The book retells Harry Potter’s story through the lens of scientific reasoning and the rational method, set in the original fictional universe. No prior knowledge of the original series is required. It was published online in chapters from 2010 to 2015 and, although written in English, has been translated into several languages, including Russian, by enthusiastic fans.
